Accessibility Statement

Last updated: October 28, 2026

This is the accessibility statement for islandhorizonsroatan.com, the website of Todd Hagerty Real Estate in Roatán, Honduras. It says what has been done to make the site usable for people with disabilities, the standard the site works toward, where it may still fall short, and how to tell us when something does not work.

Bold Collective Agency, LLC wants everyone to be able to use this site, including people who use a screen reader, people who use a keyboard instead of a mouse, people who magnify the screen, and people who need larger text or stronger contrast.

The Standard We Are working toward

This site is built and maintained with the Web Content Aeccssibility Guidelines, version 2.2, at Level AA as the target. That is the standard most organizations in the United States work to.

We do not claim that the site fully conforms to it. Accessibility is not a box that gets ticked once, and a site that publishes new pages keeps giving itself new ways to fall short. What we claim is the target and the ongoing effort to meet it.

What has been done

Every page can be operated with a keyboard alone, and the place the keyboard focus is sitting is visible on screen rather than left to guesswork.

Headings are in a real order, so a screen reader can move through a page by its structure instead of reading everything from the top. There is one main heading on each page and no levels are skipped.

Images that carry meaning have a text description written as part of the content. Images that are decoration are marked so screen reders skip them instead of reading out a file name.

The contact form has proper labels attached to its fields, and when something is wrong the error is explained in words rather than signaled only by a red outline.

Text and background colors were chosen for contrast, not only for looks, and the site reads on a phone without pinching or scrolling sideways.

The Accessibility Toolbar

Every page on this site carries an accessibility toolbar. Open it and you can make the text larger or smaller, increase the spacing between lines and letters, underline and highlight every link, switch to a higher contrast view or a dark view, turn off animation and movement, use a larger cursor, make the keyboard focus outline easier to see, and reset everything back to normal.

Your choices are saved in your own browser, on your own device, so the site remembers them next time. Nothing about your settings is sent to us or to anyone else.

How this page is kept honest

The site is checked as it is built and again whenever a new page is published or an existing one changes. When the answer on this page changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves.

If a check finds something broken that cannot be fixed straight away, it belongs in the section below rather than being quietly left out.

Where the site may fall short

The Listings page on this site has an exterior plugin for the MLS listings. This does not allow all of the aspects of Accessibility to work the way everything else on the site does. Because this is a IDX that is managed by another site, we do not have the capability to change things to keep to the accessibility standard on this page.

Documents supplied by other people, and any video hosted somewhere other than this site, may not meet the same standard as the pages around them.

Some older content may not have been checked as thoroughly as the pages published most recently. If you find some, tell us and it moves to the front of the queue.

Tell us about a problem

If any part of this website is hard to use, we want to hear about it. Say which page you were on and what happened, and we will either fix it or find you another way to get the same thing.

Email info.boldcollective@gmail.com for anything you find and we will make sure to get it taken care of as soon as possible.

We reply within 5 business days.
