West End is a long-standing village on Roatán’s north-west corner, built around the protected cove of Half Moon Bay. One main road runs along the water, lined with restaurants, bars, galleries, shops and the island’s highest concentration of dive shops.
Everything is within walking distance. Mornings start with a dive or a swim in the bay, afternoons drift by in hammocks, and evenings bring sunset drinks and live music, the island’s best nightlife.
Water taxis run from the village to West Bay Beach in about 10 minutes, so the postcard beach is always close.
Many people who live here also work here, running dive operations and small businesses, which gives West End a real community feel.
